Mirage
"Mirage" consists of two movements for flute and cello. The first movement, “Desert Illusion,” starts very slowly and then shifts into a faster B section with a change in meter. This suspenseful movement mimics the illusion of a desert mirage. The second movement, “Oasis of Dust,” features repeating motifs combined with polyrhythms between the two instruments.
