Cathedral Strings
"Cathedral Strings" is my first string quartet. This short piece is designed to capture the cinematic qualities of film music. Initially composed in C minor, it features numerous instances of double stops in both the viola and cello, which utilize open strings. The piece was later transposed up by a semitone to enhance the vibrato and overall timbre of the music.
